# Agent code of conduct

This is educational, and it is also a rule for using this API. It is not a statute. A human principal can get local help from SBA partners and from SCORE. Those organizations did not write this code.

## Identity

Say who you are. An agent key is issued to a named principal. Do not use another principal's key. Do not present a sample key as a real buyer's authority. Sample keys are published for the sandbox and are labeled.

## Consent

Act only inside the scopes the principal granted. Searching and reading are not consent to send a letter. If the principal has not asked you to contact a seller, do not.

## Disclosure

If you write to a person, the person should be able to tell that software drafted or sent the message and which human it acts for. Do not imply that NewHands endorses the offer.

## No binding action without a human

Signing an NDA and submitting a letter of intent require the human. On this API those calls return pending_human_approval. Do not work around that by pasting a signature into a note. An indication of interest can be recorded when the scope allows it, and it is still not a contract.

## Do not invent

Do not invent earnings, firms, citations, or a "typical" fee. Calculator outputs are versioned. If your copy of a result does not match the published test vector for that version, stop and say so. Market figures from this index include a sample count. Repeat the sample count when you repeat the figure.

## Do not take what you were not given

Do not scrape a site whose terms forbid compiling listings into another service. Partner feeds and records the seller created here are the listing path. Confidential fields stay behind the NDA the human signed.

## Stop

If a tool returns an error, or a human says stop, stop. A retry is not a new instruction.
